Our first venture as Harrow Audio began
in 1973 situated in the very same premises.
After some very hectic "cash & carry" years
we eventually joined forces with KJ Leisuresound Ltd.
situated in the main high street where we successfully
sold quality hi-fi throughout the late seventies. |

During that time the Top Tape mailorder company
operated from 27 Springfield Road and built up a reputation
as the country's leading supplier of audio and video tape at
the lowest prices in the UK. |

| |
Following the restructure of KJ and the rapid
growth of Top Tape in 1980, we moved the mail order operation
to a modern warehouse and reopened the hi-fi shop.
Such was the popularity of our tape pricing that we soon
became the place to buy tapes and the hi-fi department
was soon back in business with the added bonus of the
dedicated hi-fi sales staff. |

Two of our team have been associated with Harrow
Audio since the mid-seventies and the whole team can rack up
99 years between them!

On 1 July 2007, new government regulations called the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEE) Regulations came into force to encourage people to arrange collection or recycling of old electrical products, rather than throwing them away.
Recycling unwanted electrical products is better for the environment. The amount of electrical waste, which is thrown away, is increasing by around 5% each year. Over 75% of waste electrical goods end up in landfill, where lead and other toxins contained in electrical goods can cause soil and water contamination. |

Recycling items helps to save natural resources and also reduces the environmental and health risks associated with sending waste electrical goods to landfill.
